mowers

I mowed the back yard today. More importantly… I mowed the back yard today with my new mower. It’s the one on the left in the pic. Pretty, ain’t it? And it’s got plenty of ompf too. Took care of the two foot long grass like a champ.

The one on the right… that’s my old mower. I decided about a month and a half ago that it needed to be retired. Truth be told, the decision was arrived at when I used it to mow the front yard. It did the job but creaked about like an old fart and on several occasions I had to lay it on it’s side to physically get the blades rotating. It has served me well since 2000 but it’s time has come.

They are both electric. I bought the retired one for $99… the new one was only $41 more. Not bad purchases on either. If the new one lasts as long as the old one did… it would be well worth it.

………………………………….

So, yeah… this is only my second post on the blog this month (March). There was none in February. (Not that most of you noticed.) Even though I started off with a bang in January… things kinda piddled down to a crawl.

Over the last few years my blogging has been spotty at best. True, it is not what it used to be… especially like in the pre-Facebook days… otherwise known as the salad days of blogging. There was a sense of community and I made several friends through it… and many of them remain friends.

Many have given up… blogging, that is. I stubbornly held on even though my output slowed down. I am resolute about continuing… to post at least once a week. The traffic to my blog isn’t what it used to be… but I’m OK with that.

So, if you accidentally stumble upon this post… swing on by… post a comment… and I’ll do my darnedest to keep it going.

Cheers!
