HNT – the end of an era

Where internet sensations go… this lasted longer than most. My own active participation ended a while back. But every so often I would sneak over to Os’ to see what was up. I was honored and flattered to be asked to be a part of the finale… and my thoughts on HNT are expressed there along with my final posting. Thanks Os!  It certainly was fun… and now it’s done. BTW… the pic was from …

rogue terms (for HNT too)

HNT Update: OK… I posted this today… but decided to include it in HNT. Why? There is a half-nekkid person on the post… plus, HNT was part of the Rogue Fest in 2006 as a Gallery entry… so why the heck not?! Cheers and Happy HNT! BTW… the piece of art is by Mr. Reza Assemi. ORIGINAL ENTRY! The muse for the 2011 fest was unveiled a few days ago. Here it is. Are you …

Happy 5th Anniversary HNT!

First, MEGA CONGRATS to the Mighty Os on starting and keeping this going all these years. For myself HNT became not only an outlet for creativity but also an opportunity to connect with other bloggers… many who have since become friends. I do try to participate every once in a while and the annual “Sarong To Summer” is always a must do in my book. As my participation grew (in the early days) I sort …

my favorite HNT 2009

I didn’t really do that many (Half Nekkid Thursdays) this year but I did enjoy the ones I did do. Here are a couple leading to my favorite for the year. (BTW… click the pics to go to the original postings.) There was the one on meeting Mark Leslie in SF… which was a real treat! I had a lot of fun shooting Mako too. I’m sure you will agree that he was a great …

Sarong to Summer 09 – HNT

This has been a Summer that will remain in my memory for as long as I live. One which held it’s share of challenges, loss and grieving. Yet it was also one during which many shared with me and gave of themselves without question or reservation. So as I sit in the vicinity where much solace. smiles, love and fellowship took place I can’t help but feel a great sense of gratitude and affection for …

Announcing what has become the annual “Sarong to Summer” HNT entry for next week (Thursday, Sept. 17). mako – hnt

A couple of weeks ago I had a photoshoot with my friend Mako as the subject. I asked him today if he would mind if I posted a few for HNT this week. He said, “Yes.” Here are 3 from that session. I haven’t been a “regular” HNTer in a while… and this may be a sporadic post at best… but I think it was worthy, don’t you? If you are commenting feel free to …

blogger meet-up HNT

It’s been a while since I’ve done an HNT. But I thought this was significant simply because I met a fellow blogger from across the continent in San Francisco on Sunday. And why (may you ask) is this significant as an HNT? Because it is through (the earlier days of) HNT that we came to know of each other. Over the years of visiting each others blogs, commenting, and exchanging the odd email this is the …

Sarong HNT 08

The end of Summer hardly stops me wearing a sarong. I wear one year round. It’s comfortable… it’s liberating… it’s easy convenient… what’s sarong with that? There are others who make it sarong too. (Sorry, had to pun badly just one more time.) As they chime in they will be listed and linked here on the SARONG SIREN list. So go over and check them out… and check back here for additions as the day …
