10 things I discovered and/or rediscovered…

Spread the love

san-francisco… on my trip to San Francisco this last weekend. In no particular order…

  1. My phone charger also charges my MP3 player. (SCORE!)

  3. Even after over 2 years of sitting it out the air conditioner in the truck totally cranks! Seriously, after half an hour of frigid air blowing I had to turn it off and it was 100 F outside.

  5. Racists come in all colors. The worst offenders are those who “profile” their own kind of being “unworthy” of courtesy and service which is freely and blatantly (ass kissingly) provided to those with complexions of a lighter hue.
  6. ***

  7. Performers who commit to their craft are a joy to watch… even if the material they are working with is less than stellar.
  8. ***

  9. There is a huge difference between committing to your craft and “trying too hard”. The latter suffers from the lack of honesty.

  11. As much as I like a shared experience (like travel) with someone else… I do still enjoy doing things on my own. I’ve likened it to having a scoop of ice-cream in a cup or on a cone… either way it is the ice-cream that counts.

  13. Even though “fringe shows” are often referred to as a genre unto itself… I have always considered them to be works in progress. This makes the experience so much more exciting knowing what you are watching could possibly break out down the line into wider acceptance. Sort of like discovering the source of the Nile over and over again.

  15. If nothing else, the rise in the number of window air-conditioning units I observed in San Francisco should give us pause to consider the global climate change that is occurring.  Mark Twain’s quote. “The coldest Winter I’ve experience was a Summer in San Francisco.” may not hold for much longer.

  17. I love the comfort of rituals I have acquired over the years when I visit the city.

  19. The smell of garlic driving through Gilroy always makes me smile.
