the weekend when good intentions were not quite enough

Spread the love

Yeah, I had big plans for the weekend. Sure, most of it was work related but I had plans to crank them out… for the sheer sense of accomplishment (and free time at the start of the week) as a reward. Since most of this was to take place on the computer I thought some maintenance was in order to help speed things along. Alas, it was not to be.

I was right about performing maintenance though. Both machines needed lots of love and I’m glad I did it. However it did set the timetable planned back a bit… quite a bit. As a result, everything I had to accomplish over the weekend will suck up the next 3 days. No matter… it will all get done.

IN OTHER NEWS:

Encouraged (and spurred on) by my latest film I am in pre-production for my next 3 minute movie. (For the uninitiated that means writing a script, casting, scoping out locations, etc) Yeah, I’ve caught the creative bug again… which is a good thing.

I’ve been sitting on this particular scenario for a bit now and I think it is time to cultivate the darn thing into fruition.  There are few details I can offer except the title – “Los Musicas Muetos” (The Music Of Death) and there will be no dialog. Also, I’m not doing it on an external deadline (aka… a film festival, etc) so, this work will be entirely self motivated – haven’t done that in a while.

So… yeah… things are turning around… only because I’m making it.
