Da Count – the little things

Little-Things

I don’t blow-dry after washing my hair. I instead use a hair-tie to hold my hair back while it dries. I have found this to be the best method… at least for me. Sometimes, (and it does happen) I run out of hair ties… then I go hunting for a rubber-band. And woe is me when I can’t find one.

We use lots of little things everyday. Anything from push-pins to paper clips and beyond. They make our lives a lot more convenient. Yet, do we show them any respect? No. Until, of course we really, really need one, and, like the rubber-band mentioned above, we can’t find one. The end of the world suddenly becomes nigh.

Then we curse up a storm. We blame the little thing that brings convenience into our lives for being… well, so little that we can’t find them. We have no choice but to go out and buy another set of little things… to replace the little thing we couldn’t find.

Sometimes we come across a stash of little things that we forgot and wonder to ourselves, “Why did I buy so many little things? What was I thinking?”

What you were thinking was that you desperately needed that little thing… much, more than you expected to… so, you were forced to go out and buy some more. Now you have lots of little things simply because you have memory issues.

Little things get a lot of blame… mostly because you forgot where you put them. So, today my count are all the little things out there. I salute all you little things for making my life a lot more convenient.

Now… off to wash my hair.
