… was the kind of gorgeous Summer night I remember we used to experience a lot more here in the Big No. One where it would cool down to a balmy point from a hot day and sitting out or walking around was something to look forward to. When the question “What are the best times in Fresno?” was asked… the standard reply was usually… “Spring, Fall and the Summer nights.” For some reason until last night the heat this season would just linger making sleep uncomfortable without air conditioning… or at least a fan. Glad it has gotten back to this and I hope it stays.
My somewhat fractured sleep cycle has been doing a bit of a job on me. For instance, a friend popped by at about 8:30 PM (with a box of donuts… don’t ask) and found me sacked out. I probably zonked out about an hour and a half earlier. Glad he came by and woke my ass up though or my already weird sleep cycle would have just gotten weirder. Anyway we tripped on down to the Tower District and sat outside a local cafe and had a nice time soaking in the gentle night. In times past I would just as soon have switched my usual working times but it’s now a bit of a challenge because Mum’s waking and caring hours are during daylight.
Nothing new for HNT today but if you click the pic you get to see a rerun that I posted about this time last year featuring the faerie lights in the pic. As I recall… it was one of those gorgeous Summer nights just like last night.
