smashed to a silver…

Spread the love

… but a medal is a medal. I watched the game live on the internet and it was totally one-sided and reports on the game bore that out as well. Still, kudos to Lee for working his way up to the finals and to a Silver… which in itself is nothing to sneeze at.

THE DAY

I ended up working today. Figured that I’d knock off as much as I could at a leisurely pace. Most of it was web work. Oh yeah… I did knock off as much as I could chore-wise in the morning. So all in all it was a day of small accomplishments. Not bad for a Sunday.

GREED WILL GET YOU LESS

At least that is what I’ve been noticing of late. I’m not talking about gluttony… though that too, if one were to think about it can buy you less time in this mortal coil. Even in the corporate world such as the shenanigans of companies like Enron the examples seem plainly glaring.

Though most of the observations I have made are those concerned with basic human behavior. It’s not something I have ever paid too much attention to but somehow of late it has just seemed to have been splayed out for me to take notice.

These seemingly thematic occurrences are not a new phenomenon in my life. (I quit trying to analyze why they occur a long time ago.) As per usual this observation in others triggered the need to look back in my own life for similar examples. They were there. The greed for attention and acclaim only got me disdain. Whatever the case… greed only got me the exact opposite. I just may choose later on to explore this as a theme in some creative work. Not so much as a point of virtue and morality but more so with a meditation on the natural law of returns.

Perhaps this post will extend… perhaps not. In either case, do have a great beginning of the week.
