Lecram, are you touting a TV program for your count this week? Why… yes… yes, I am. I have been a fan of Frontline for years. It really is the kind of news documentary program that PBS is best at. Intelligent, hard hitting and above all thought provoking. The topics are varied and pertinent to the world we are living in now.A few seasons ago they also created Frontline/World… an international news magazine that utilizes reports and reporters from various countries. I have always maintained that perspective is key to expanding understanding. If you haven’t watched it yet… give it a shot. It comes on Tuesday nights on most PBS stations. If you visit the sites that I have already linked to… the good news is that their programs can also be viewed online.
Yes, it is my count for this week. And one of the best things they do is produce a balanced view of the candidates in the election years called “The Choice”. Here is the 2008 edition. You may want to set aside a couple of hours to catch it in it’s entirety. And yes… they do have a youtube channel too… and if you go to their channel page you’ll be able to watch it in full screen mode.
