Remember Andrew Johnston from last year… or Paul Potts from the year before? These were their audition performances. Go ahead… I’ll wait while you watch. Oh, and make sure a box of kleenex is within reach while doing so.
Well, Britain’s Got Talent is back. And once again they’ve managed to flush out a gem hidden behind the homely, dowdy, seemingly downtrodden, more ordinary than ordinary, unassuming, underdog like this year’s… Susan Boyle. Enjoy.
I’ve made no bones about the fact that I rather enjoy the British version (so much more) over the American version of the show. It is probably because it seems more genuine… from performers (all three were the opposite of glamor) to hosts (Ant & Dec are both fun and have a great common touch) to judges (seriously check out Simon who from what I have seen has a definite affection for this show ) and audience (who will turn to sincerely root for an underdog over flash).
I’ll be looking forward to see what’s ahead in the weeks to come.
