I do understand the collective relief with the demise of Osama Bin Laden but the jubilant chants of “USA! USA!” like this was some kind of sports championship trophy won… I’m not so sure. Of course, reactions are varied and let’s face it… this may be a the end of a chapter but the book is not done.
The description of the operation itself sounded like a cross between “Mission Impossible” and the “G-man” shootouts of 1930’s with the likes of Bonnie & Clyde. Plus how bizarre (but not surprising) that he was housed 2 kilometers from a military academy.
Then the calls for “IS HE REALLY DEAD” has already begun.
As one commentator put it… “What’s KFC without the Coronal?” I don’t think it is going to be the end of fried chicken, do you?
