I’ve blogged a bit about ArtHop over the years. Last night I attended my first JazzHop which was organized over the last few months by a local musician.
The concept is simple… various venues in the mid-town and downtown area features musicians playing and you hop from one to another catching the talent on display. Plus it is a monthly occurance at that! I love it. I love music. I love jazz and here is an opportunity to marvel at the talent who call this city home.
Last evening as I walked around I couldn’t help but smile that this is happening. I’m hoping it grows and is sustained. It also makes me smile that there are still individuals who understand and act knowing that anything worthwhile is never created at one’s own convenience.
So, as part of my count I am heaping mega Kudos to David Hull & Jazz Fresno for contributing to and celebrating the local cultural landscape of this city. May it live, grow and prosper.
