Sometimes it’s bumpy. Sometimes treacherous. Sometimes boring. Sometimes pee in your pants exciting. This journey through life is all that and more.
I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed it… so far. Even the not so pleasant times have been appreciated. (OK, perhaps not at the exact time it’s happening but usually eventually.) It’s all part of the package. Without the bumps the smooth would be less appreciated… and frankly a little boring.
If I were to be asked two things that made it so it would be people and experiences. Most people would concur but to many those are flash experiences – a speed-by as it were.
I much prefer to savor. In this case quality thumps quantity… sort of like the difference between a traveler and a tourist.
So, I’m counting the ride this week because… I’m still on it… and so are you.
