Da Count – the little things

I don’t blow-dry after washing my hair. I instead use a hair-tie to hold my hair back while it dries. I have found this to be the best method… at least for me. Sometimes, (and it does happen) I run out of hair ties… then I go hunting for a rubber-band. And woe is me when I can’t find one. We use lots of little things everyday. Anything from push-pins to paper clips and beyond. …

Da Count – the first in the (next) trilogy

Well, the wait is over. I’m sure all of you have worn down your fingernails to stubs in anticipation. Especially after the “Love & Death” trilogy. This one begins the next called, the “Death & Money” trilogy. The film was shown at the sixth screening of THE GERM last night. Even though they ran an earlier cut sans some of the tweaks I made… folk still seemed to like it. It is my count this …

Da Count – a return

It certainly has been a while since I did a count. Though before I go any further, I want to personally thank the fabulous Lime for keeping the counting fires going. I’ve been a spotty blogger for a while but the count on because of her and that is part of my count too this week. It’s been a good week. Da Count – a taste from the past

OK… I know I’m obsessing. (2 posts in as many days on the same topic!) But here is my pretty. Isn’t she a beaut? And in the background you might just spy the lemongrass bush and kaffir lime tree… both of which have been firmly established. Yes, this curry leaf plant will be loved. My friends claim that I have a green thumb… I usually counter by saying that it is my special brand of …

Da Count – learning new things

The video is a sample “reel” of a show I recently shot and edited. I thought it came out pretty well… and the kids did a great job in performance. I am proud of the work that went into it. I applied new “tricks” I learned over the last couple of months and the resulting quality does show. Of course, it doesn’t stop there. There is much more to learn as I acquire (and grapple) …

Da Count – my coffee maker

Yep, I have 2 at the coffee station under my gazebo in the driveway. Both are Mr. Coffees. Good solid machines that get the job done. Sure, there are fancier machines these days… but it was Mr. Coffee that got the java brewing and making affordable coffee-makers available to the average home. In fact, one of the founders of the original company passed recently. So, the next time you are getting caffeinated raise a cup …

Da Count – the first (bike) ride of the season

The weather here being what it is at present I took my first ride around the neighborhood. It was a wonderful reminder as to why the effort was taken last Summer to get the bikes working and road worthy. Yes, it was a little windy as I rode and the chill did grip me at times but I still enjoyed the heck out of it. No doubt this was the first of many rides I …
